Grant and Hatte at IAJGS

Interested in seeing what happened earlier in the week at IAJGS 2011 in Washington, D.C.? Take a look at some of the pictures we took while we were there:

It was a very interesting conference, and we were very happy to see dozens of Geni users there. We’d like to see more of that in the future, so we’re going to make sure you all know when and where you can come see us in person. We will have swag (Tees, Pens, Thumbdrives), and we want to give them out to dedicated Geni users.

Still coming up this year is FGS 2011, FHE Northern California, and FHE Atlanta. If you can make any of those shows, make sure to come by and say “Hi” at the Geni booth!

Nobody seems to care. Bigger issues?

I was there too.   With all the recent changes to Geni, there was hardly anyone at your booth most of the time.  As a Pro user, I remain deeply disappointed by your moves to chase all the non-paying users off the site.  We Pros are dependent upon them to enter their branches of the family tree, and you have now discouraged them — at the same time you have encouraged us Pros to convert our public profiles to private ones to preserve their integrity from well-meaning but mistaken editing.
