Profile of the Day: Al Gore
April 22 is Earth Day, a day dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. Today we highlight former U.S. Vice President Al Gore for his contributions in spreading awareness about environmental issues. In 2007, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Al Gore were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize “for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.”
