Today, the Olympic track and field events begin. To welcome the start of these events, we’re highlighting track and field legend Carl Lewis. Over his long and highly successful athletic career, Lewis won 10 Olympic medals, 9 of which were gold. In the process, he set numerous world records and is considered by many to be the greatest track and field athlete of all time.
