Titanic: Remembering 100 Years

This week marks the 100th anniversary of the RMS Titanic‘s fateful voyage. Let’s take a look at some interesting facts about the Titanic and learn a little bit more about some of the most notable passengers on board.

    “Interesting facts” – yes. Accurate “facts”? Not quite. Did “Titanic” really sail from Southampton to the iceberg by way of Queensland?

      Queenstown is the old name of Cobh  on the Irish South coast, this was the last port of call for the Titanic . So not Queensland , Australia.

    All well and good to look pretty but maybe someone needs an atlas? Last time I looked Queensland was in Australia.

    Queenland is named after the queensland in Ireland – it was renamed after independence to cobh

      Cobh’s original name was Queenstown, not Queensland.
