Mary Lisha Jane Allen (Pierson) was my Great Grandmother. She was born June 5, 1842 in Ireland. She came to the U. S. to New Orleans and all of her people died of yellow fever. A twin brother, Hugh Pierson who was raised by a doctor and became a dentist.
I have not been able to find the ship she came on to the port of New Orleans or any link back to her roots in Ireland. Any clue or help would be appreciated.

The closest match I can find is a passenger record for a Hugh Pierson age 27 at arrival in Castlegarden on 29 Aug 1870 on the C.H. MARSHALL from Liverpool,UK. He was born in Ireland and was a tailor

Yes. Thanks for the information and suggestion. I found one record of her on familysearch.org, but the only additional information it contained was that her birthplace was probably Dublin. All I had before was Ireland. That may help. I started scanning through all of the graveyard listings in and around dublin for the surname hoping to find relatives and ancestors, but nothing so far. I will keep searching.
