Hi all,

It wont be long and it will be Saint Patricks day again on 17th March.
Lets turn Geni green and do something on Geni to celebrate.
All ideas and suggestions welcome

Not an area I specialise in or know even however it should be attempted to get the tree around St Patrick as accurate as possible then the St Patrick Profile should be Profile of the Day on 17th March and perhaps we could persuade Geni to have some of his (inlaw) descendants featured on other days in the preceding week. It would also be nice if people with Irish interests could have a discount Pro offer that week although I don't know how the interests would be proven.

New York City has one of the best celebrations around. I wish I could be there for that!

Terry Jackson (Switzer) yes we have to make sure that St Patrick tree is accurate as possible with no merge issues around it and so.
Not sure if we can make him profile of the day again as it was the profile of the day last year on the 17th March.
I was also thinking of creating an Irish week, profile wise in honor of Saint Patrick, so only Irish profiles for 5 days or so.
Private User is it possible to do something Irish for the week from 17 March till 24 March profile wise, we can call it the Irish week :)

We could also create a Ireland week project, where users can add, profiles, stories, songs, videos (youtube links) and bits of written history.
it is a shame we can not add photograph to the projects :(
Ideas for this anyone ?

Time to check Saint Patrick's profile and make sure all is correct, 3 weeks to go before the celebration, what else can we organise ?

Saint Patrick is my 47th great uncle and the brother of my 46th great grandmother. Hope this tree is correct. I celebrated Saint Patricksday several times in Amsterdam during my studies (between 1973 and 1980). I ran a folkclub called the DRAAILIER in Diemen near Amsterdam with friends and we had a great time....I contracted Irish folk musicians from bands like Planxty..

I just checked and there are a lot of merge issues around his profile that need to be sorted.
Amsterdam I think is one of the better places to celebrate Paddy's day, great fun in the Irish pubs overthere, are you doing anything this year Andre?
