Occupation

George worked for the railroad as a conductor until he fell off the train, The train wheels cut his legs off, one below the knee and the other above the knee. He worn wooden legs held in place by straps. George was able to walk and drive a car. George then worked as a pick-up man for the boys. His job was to pick-up gambling money at the illegal betting houses. From time to time he was caught and put in jail until the boy's got him out.
