Are there plans for a "Rough Riders" sub-project. I am adding Sgt. George W. Armijo, Rough Rider to this project. He was a Rough Rider from New Mexico.

I am just a "basic Member" but just finished an autobiography by cousin, Teddy where he mentions even the enlisted guys -if I send you their names would you add them? Please? So then, maybe their descendents can find them a know they were heroes?

Kwame, i'll leave it to one of the military types.

I have also put in a suggestion for those military types for a project about Fort Union, New Mexico, complete with an awesome source. If I ever finish Colonial Virginia, I might have time for projects again. See: http://www.geni.com/discussions/105152

Marvin Caulk, (C)
Cindy has a list of enlisted men she needs help entering. Perhaps you could suggest someone?

I was amazed that there were "volunteer units" in the Civil & Sp. Am. Wars where their Gens. paid to equip them etc but if I recall, "Cousin Teddy" paid to equip his and a bunch he had gone to college with but he mentions a New Mexico Btn. Just looked and I shall have to get the book back from my son... drats

How many men are we talking about?

1/25/2012 at 11:06 AM

I take the question back, it looks like there is a list of @1250 men in

http://www.bartleby.com/51/a.html

I do not have anyone avail to enter that many men.

A project could be started including each troop, the lists are in the source above. They could be added to the projects as the're found. There are no dates of birth or death tho. So making the profiles without doing research would just leave them hanging.

I could help out! I have some men also from Washington County, GA.
