We think that he was the (paternal) cousin of Alexander Wright. Robert's father was Daniel brother to Duncan who was father of Alexander. We think he came over to work for his cousin Alexander in Clinton, MA.

We thought that Agnes and Robert traveled together as husband and wife from Scotland, but recently found a marriage certificate issued in Massachusetts that shows that they married there on Christmas Day 1850.

We are unsure if Agnes already resided in Massachusetts when Robert came over from Scotland, or if they traveled together.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, Robert and Agnes both died in Ceredo, WV. On my tree we have pictures of their headstones. They are not buried in Ceredo but a neighboring town (my father and mother went there a few months ago). Robert and Agnes were my father's great grand parents. Are you related? If so, I'm sure my father would like to hear from you!!

Best,
Kari
