Life History of Sri Yatheendral(Sri Subramania Sastrigal)

Sri Yatheendral lived as a Sage Blessed by Maha Periyavaa and attained 'viyoga mukti' in 1933. HE was authority for Hindu Dharma of Vedic Science. HE attended Vidwad Sadas at Kasi organised by the King of Kasi and successfully defeated Pandits assembled there The Sadas held in 1927. HE returned to Kanchi and awarded with Meritorious award "Ekhachanda Grahi" by Maha Periyavaa and became the Asthana Pandit of Kanchi Mutt.

@Sri Subramania Yatheendral spent his huge amount for poor feeding. He donated paddy to the needy downtrodden people during the time of floods. drought areas. HE was called as KARIYAAsaan, ONE AMONG THE SEVEN KINGS RULED IN TAMIL NADU.
He also donated funds for the renovation of temples in is area and callled " Arappani Sudar' during those days!!!

Sri Subramania Sastri (Yatheendral) was awarded with the Title "Library" i.e. i.e. NADAMADUM PALKALAIKAZHAGAM by HH KANCHI MAHA PERIAVAA. Sastri lived with HH Maha Periyavaa always at Sankara Mutt Kanchipuram. He toured with HH Maha Periavaa to Rameswaram and Varanasi and stayed with Him. Another Title given by HH Maha Pariavaa to Sastri was EKHACHANDA GRAHI (He can absorb the contents in one book by reading it one time.
Sastri was also one among the Pandits who taught Vedas Upanishads etc. to HH Maha Periavaa in 1911 at Mahendramangalam in Trichy District.

The 143rd Jayanthi Mahotsavam was celebrated at the Athishtanam of Sri Siddhamalli Periavaa (Sri Yatheendral) on 15th May Saturday at Siddhamalli.The festival was started by 8.15 by Sri Rudram,Upanishads, abishegams milk,honey,panchamirtham,turmeric powder,sandal powder abishega powder and VIBOOTHI by the temple priest and by Jyothisharatna Raman Pondy. Special prasadams sarkarai pongal,pottukadalai sarkarai bananas dates fruits and other items were distributed to the devotees after 'neiveidhyam'

Yatheendral submitted to Mahaswami the evenness of Sanyasins,Sarma and Thirudan !! Mahaswami laughed for a while and asked Yatheendral the real meaning to the devotees gathered there.
Yatheendral boldly answered one if become sanyasin his dress, activities,etc. are completely.For Grihasthas(Sarmans) their activities like Nithyakarmanushtanam etc changed. They have to obey for certain things and rituals.
As in the case of "Thirudan" his dresses are changed food pattern modified. his activities are controlled.He is not permitted to come out !!
On hearing this all the devotees assembled there laughed for a while including MAHASWAMI !!!! Immediately MAHASWAMI gave the title "Nagaichuvai mannar" to Yatheendral !!!

@The samadhi is situated in SIDDHAMALLI village about 20 miles from Mannargudy on Mannargudy - Muthupettai bus route. @Ani Thirumananam special abishegams performed to Sri Yatheendral Athishtanam on 2nd July 2011. In the early morning Sri Rudram Chamakam chanted with Lalitha Sahasranamam Parayanam. Then abishegam started "Pancha Diraviya"abishegam i.e. milk. vibuthi,panneer,honey,turmeric powder, abishega powder etc.,
Then Guru Ashtotram and archana performed by Raman Pondy.Prasadams distributed to the devotees. Special devotee came from from Tiruchy and had Darsan.
The function came to an end by 11.30 a.m.
