Annie or Anna??

My grandmother Sarah referred to her always as "Anna", but Joshua's records from his side refer to her as "Annie". Both names may have been used.
Anyone know any definitive information about her real (legal) name?

We recently learned a bit about another legal name fiasco by using census records and death notices where the protagonist was a relative who would be mentioned. I have a full text search subscription to the New York Times, so if you think Anna "Annie" Castin might have been written up there, and have a rough date of death, I can look.

I will ask the "older" relatives on this side of the family.
