Yes, she should be separated. Thomas Welles was actually married to Elizabeth Bryan of Stourton, 1516-1553, of unknown parentage. There is another Elizabeth Bryan of Beddington, 1510-1546, who was married to Sir Nicholas Carew. The two Elizabeth Bryans keep getting merged, leading to inconsistencies and problems.

My work is getting tougher but i think we are almost there in getting the two Elizabeths separated.

In my family records I have Thomas Welles being married first to Elizabeth (unknown) and then second to Elizabeth Bryan. Elizabeth (unknown) is supposed to be the mother of his children though.

I have a Thomas Welles b. 1512 married to an Elizabeth Bryant b. 1515. I don't have a second wife. In my record they have two children, Robert and Anne. I don't have the wife unknown. Further, in my record, Robert's son Thomas has two wives.

In mine Elizabeth (unknown) is the mother of Robert and Anne. Elizabeth Bryan or Bryant is the mother of Walter, John, Peter, and Jane.

Wait not Walter. Walter is Thomas' brother.

All I know is, that Elizabeth Bryan is attached to Royalty and Elizabeth Unknown isn't, and I have only begun to see Elizabeth Bryant, so at any rate, I would tend to believe that anyone trying to hook up to Royalty would try to pretend it's Elizabeth Bryan, but she was only married to the Carew guy, from what I understand.
