I believe your entry of "January 8, 1857 in Montréal, QC, Canada " is incorrect, since he would then have been born 9 years AFTER his son Alfred was born (1848). The info I have puts his birth on/at "15 May 1820 Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, United Kingdom."

I've changed the record here to reflect this, but please check your records and correct me if necessary.

Thanks for the correction. I think I am responsible for the wrong date. After all we should know the correct date looking at the picture each day.
