Hello,

My name is Itay Shindel, and I'm a jewish male living in Herzliya, Israel.

My last name, Shindel, is derived from the german word which means in English SHINGLE
(thin piece of wood stone or other material laid in overlapping rows on a roof or wall; small
smooth stones on beaches and shores; short hairstyle for women; small signboard
[especially one placed at the entrance to a doctor or lawyer's office] ).

My grandfather, Dr. Leon Schindel, who survived the holocaust, only knew few other Schindels:
Father - Aszer Schindel
Grandparents: Izrael Schindel & Gittel (Szwarz) Schindel

They all lived in Dabrowa-Tarnowska, Poland.

I'm very eager to know, perhaps, about relatives of SCHINDEL family.

I hope users on Geni would be able to assist.

Some good resources are:
1. Yad Vashem archive
http://www.yadvashem.org/wps/portal/IY_HON_Welcome
2. Dan's geneology page
http://www.ics.uci.edu/~dan/genealogy/
Good luck.

Thank you, Itai.

Unfortunately, I tried them both, but found nothing (at least nothing related to my
family...)
