Please note the correct spelling of our grandfathers' middle name is "Norapalmer"

Which is the same as my Dad Andrews middle name.

Mark.

There is a lot of interesting information about our Grandfather Stephen to be found in the public archives at Kew. The documents give great insight into the man himself and the times in which he lived. There is even a document with his signature on it. The documents have been lying there since 1938 and are there to be viewed freely by any member of the public. But the content is not something that I personally would wish to discuss on the internet.

National Archives Kew - Documents dated between 1937-1939:
Colonial Office: Nigeria Original Correspondence CO 583/238/10
Colonial Office: Nigeria Original Correspondence CO 583/218/14
To anyone who hasn't already read them I'm afraid they do not give an entirely flattering picture of our grandfather.
As regards the spelling of 'Steddy' maybe this is something else that Aunty Funke or Fola can shed further light on...
