Jimmie and I have the same Grandmother, Sarah Stamps. We visited with him in Hollywood once back in about 1949. He had just gone through another divorce and his ex had taken all the furniture out of his house. He and my father, Asa Lefler Stamps, Jr. we close. My Father died with I was 6 months old.
Anyway, I was just a little guy but Jimmie treated is like royalty while we were out there.
