Bernard immigrated to the US with his wife Marie and Brenadina (age 6) from Germany. Their arrival date was in Aug. 1872. They departed from a port in Bremen, Germany aboard the ship Ohio and arrived in Baltimore, Maryland. Bernard was 35 years old at that time.
