Cecile was only 17 years old. Did she and Clarence run away to get married?

To confirm, I looked up Clarence on the 1920 census. He is living in Minnesota by himself, but it says he is married. So, I looked for Cecil. She is living with her mother Etta (Hopkins) Harrington, listed as "Lene," and single.

Was their marriage annulled?

Sorry, I didn't see the photo of her gravestone with the name Cecile L. Hale until just now. Who was her husband? And when did they marry?

That is interesting. I don't know much about Celie - I know she was married, I know she was institutionalized for a while for mental problems, I have a picture from my Grandma's album, I have a picture of what I think is her grave in the Lewis cemetery, under the name Cecile Hale. I;ve never heard the name Sandahl. But Celie was one of those relatives that they didn't talk much about back in those days. Wish I knew more.
