Are any of you familiar with the Bassett Family Association site? Looks like a great resource: http://www.bassettbranches.org/ |

Noah... also want to point out the DNA project http://www.bassettbranches.org/dna/casestudy.shtml Basically - NONE of the Massachusetts branches can be proven to the earlier ancestral trees. There is some DNA evidence to suggest there are connections, but no documentation that shows the path. So some of these MA branches that have ties to the earlier Bassett branches might be some wishful thinking, or at least some good guessing. |

Thanks Noah! I saw you added it. I think that is a good way to keep people on the right track with these American Bassett lines. Tammy added a Curator note to one of the Williams. He's currently connected to an earlier ancestor, but it isn't proven, so for now we're just adding curator note to reflect that, but keeping him connected to his pedigree chain. |

Noah... here is the direct link for the geni profile for William Bassett of Lynn, MA:
Can you make that a hyperlink on the front page of the Bassett project the way you did for the other couple profiles? |
