MOMENCE - John R. Bradley, 89, of Momence, died Saturday (Nov. 13, 1999) at Miller HealthCare Center, Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Momence, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. James Ruberg will officiate.
Burial will be in Momence Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Momence, where he was a member.
He was born July 17, 1910, in Neoga, the son of John C. and Dora Green Bradley. His parents are deceased.
His first wife, the former Judy Patts, whom he married June 10, 1939, in Chicago, died Aug. 19, 1992.
Surviving are his wife, Nona Ross Bradley, whom he married Feb. 24, 1994, in Momence; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Cindy Bradley of Momence, and Dr. Craig and Anne Bradley of Oak Park; four grandchildren, Erika Bradley of Chicago, Megan Bradley of Momence, Lisa and Steve Green of Oak Park, and Paul and Meghan Bradley of Chicago.
Deceased are two sisters, Freida and Kathleen.
Mr. Bradley retired from Agar Packing Company, Momence, in 1964. He settled in Momence where he farmed in Momence Township until his retirement in 1989. He served on the Kankakee County Zoning Board of Appeals for 20 years.
He was a member of the Book Lovers Club, and the Masonic Lodge.
He enjoyed playing bridge and golf.
