@ note-The above cited info. by mr.Howton is unavailable ?/? However, in my numberous notes there is a fair description which will be posted later. Reguardless, It was the flag ship of the nine vesel convoy & did not join the eight other London ships until they arrived in Plymouth. In defiance of orders Gates, Sommers,Newport,Strachey & others chose Sea Venture because it was the newest, bigest and most sea worthy. ...After the wreck of SEAVENTURE on Bermuda ,Strachey wrote home about the details & Shakespeare published THE TEMPEST in 1623...Read James town narratives -Ed.--Edward W. @ adde. Ironically ,the Gates (third relief ) convoy of nine ships including the SEAVENTURE lost sight of Landsend England on June 2nd 1609. g.e.
