Trouble making a connection

This might be a little complicated but I am hoping there is a way to accomplish this.
My Mom's-Stepmother's-Dad is my Mom's-blood mother's- uncle. How do I make a connection between these two family. I have an Indian family and we a lot of interrelated marriages so I want to get this correct and it will help me with future connections.

When I open the branch of my mom's-blood mother... My mom's-stepmother's branch closes and I can't make a CTRL-Drag connection between them. How do I do this? Otherwise I will never be able to get my tree right :(

Use the "Move this person" option in the pull-down menu of the profile. It will place the profile in the side-bar, and you can make a drag-n-drop action from this sidebar when you have navigated to the position you want to make a connection.
