Entering dates

From this morning, I am not able to enter any dates on Geni. The suggested format looks like DD MM YYYY, but whatever format (even alternative formats) I use, I am ignored stone blank. Other data are accepted however.

A new feature that needs to be re-examined it appears. The curators are having the same issue and have reported it.

I'm also having the same problem as well as page "page not found" the new Geni needs some work.

Yes, the old version was better and straight out of the road.
Because you can write the dates in the European way or in the American. And it's different.

E.g. 12th February 2011
02.12.2011 American
12.02.2011 European

I just saw in the settings that the language will control the way. But in UK they speak English and use the European way. And I'm a Dane and use the English version of Geni but the European way of writing dates.

Time will tell if it's going to be a mess.

Has anyone else had the "page not found" pop up when trying to logout? That now happens to me since the new Geni.

Me too! Also Patti Gourley, Judith Loubris, Peter Breed . We are all having same problem...just add us to the number

Do NOT click on edit on the profile, but click on the name to open the profile. This brings up a new screen and from there edit the profile and save it, and it will accept the date. A lot more work, but it works.

Yes, they said they are aware of the issue and working to fix it. Till then use the way I said to enter dates in my previous post.

Never said it did not acknowledge the situation..but that 1 site is closed to discussion....

We've just released another round of bug fixes, including the date problems -- please post here if you continue to have problems entering / editing dates. Sorry for the trouble!

Keeping fingers crossed but can enter dates without having to pull up full profile...
