I found a record in Georgia Virtual Vault stating that Lunsford was a private under Capt. John L. Swinney. Feb12, 1836, MR 1835-1842, Hancock Co. Does anyone know anything else about this record???

Although not an answer to your spcecific question it looks like Lunsford Brantley is listed on a Revolutionary War pension application relating to his father as shown from this familysearch.org link: https://www.familysearch.org/search/search/index/record-search-adva...=

I have Amos Brantley's pension. I am familiar with that. I have been searching for information about Lunsford (my 3rd G grandfather) for over 13 years. I recently came across his possible military information. This is the first I've heard or found on this. Also, I have never been able to locate any death information on him or his wife Christiline.
