privacy

hey guys, i searched for my name on google to see what comes up and noticed my profile is public even though I set it for private. not sure what's going on. i didn't even have to log in to write this. (??) so if anyone is sensitive about privacy, you may want to look into it.

Your profile is searchable on Google unless you turn off the checkbox labeled "Let the public search for me" at http://www.geni.com/account_settings/permissions -- you should double-check that.

You didn't have to log in because we keep a cookie in your browser. Try this to see what others see of your profile: open your profile in one tab or window, then in another tab or window log out of Geni using the Account menu at the top right. Then refresh the tab with your profile and you'll see your profile the way it appears to non-Geni users.
