Christian married 2 daughters of John Long.

According to the "Brethren Encyclopedia" published in 1983, John Long arrived in America on the ship "Harle" on September 1, 1736 with his parents John Nicholas and Anna Marie Studebaker Lang. John settled in Washington County, Maryland. His descendants went to Franklin and Bedford Counties, Pennsylvania, then to Ohio and on to Ogle County, Illinois.

In 1750 John bought 100 acres of land in Washington County, Maryland called "Bakers Lookout" from the Peter Studebaker family.

Should we be researching Studebaker?
