Any prior information on Zachariah Carter, m. Martha Jane Tucker between 1740-1780, in Essex, Virginia. Checking War of 1812 Service Records; but particular info on his service in Rev War as a private in the 5th NC Line? Who were his parents? Was Sheriff John Carter related to Zachariah Carter? Zachariah is listed as living in Duplin Co 1783, 1786, 1806 and 1813 had land granted to him by the state of NC, according to the Registrar of Deeds office. 3) Alexander Carter b. 1822 m. Ora Jane Edmunds/Lovett? MY LINE! First wife named, Sarah A. (Bertie Co?) Many children.
