Hi,

the geni timeline is nice to get an overview of a persons life. However, some of my ancestors seemed to move around a bit, and it would be great to add a location with a date - and have this appear in the timeline.

regards,

Good Idea,
Lets take it one step forward - display the spreading of the
family on the map according to the timeline

Also recording data of known places where people lived can compensate the lack of info about birth or death

Hi Yaacov, that would be really interesting to see!

Another idea for timeline, that should require very little work for Geni, is to be able to have a persons timeline also include their immediate family's timeline information (not just a child's birth).

Combine this with location/time entry - and timeline would provide a very comprehensive, chronological event description.

I think you should post your Ideas on

As far as I know this is the main source for suggesting geni improvements

You know that you manually can add and name events to the timeline of a profile?

I do however hope that Geni if they add support for reside sources that they will be put on the timeline.

Apologies.... I didn't notice the "add new event" button in the timeline view before you said it Bjørn.
