If the purpose of the list of artists is to eventually have them all be links to profiles, then listing groups (eg. Cream) is not going to work.

Erica: yes, individuals. However, in the case of Cream, all three members were Brits (although Clapton lives in the USA now).

Tangential aside: In late August 1971 I saw Jack Bruce perform in a free concert at London's Hyde Park. The headliners were King Crimson. Jack performed with a temporarily re-united Graham Bond Organization. He played by far the longest bass solo I've ever heard/witnessed. To the extent I can remember it, it was brilliant, albeit too long.

PhiDeck - you and are are quasi contemporaries. I saw Cream in San Francisco around 1969 several times. They were amazing.

In 1969 I was still living in Chile (moved to US in 1971), and in those days the US and UK groups didn't tour S. America, so I missed out on Hendrix, Doors, and other late 1960s acts. tried to make up for it somewhat in the 1970s, though.
