Looking for a Wallberger connection

My grandmother Valerie, was born on a train around 1906/7 in Germany, her mother died giving birth. Soon after she was sent to live with her father in France but we are not sure of his name, he then sent her to live in a convent in Germany. We do know that her family name was Wallberger and she may have lived in Baden Baden area.
I have always wanted to find out more about this lineage and if anyone has any knowledge and missing peices of information it would help me understand a little more about my ancesteral lineage.
My grandmother came to England and married Hubert Edmund West and had family connections in Whitstable, Kent before setting up home in Northampton.
