Hi,

I'm doing a writing project about the Winecoff Hotel fire in Atlanta, Ga. in 1946 and want to locate anybody related to Helen Walker (maiden name Teach). She was the Winecoff Hotel auditor and perished in the fire. Here are a couple of obits from the Atlanta Journal and Constitution.

Walker – Mrs. Helen Walker, wife of Dr. J. O. Walker, died Saturday in the 31st year of her age. She is survived by her husband; father, Mr. Harry Teach, of Springfield, Ohio, and one brother, Mr. Royer Teach, of Springfield, Ohio. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by J. Austin Dillon Co.

Walker, Mrs. J. O. – The friends of Dr. and Mrs. J.O. Walker, Mr. Harry Teach, of Springfield, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Teach of Springfield, Ohio, are invited to attend the funeral of Mrs. J.O. Walker tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 11 o’clock from the Chapel of J. Austin Dillon Co. Rev. L. E. Smith will officiate. The remains will be taken Tuesday at 6:50 p.m. to Charleston, W. Va. for interment.

Thanks,

Chet Wallace
