Patrick Sullivan was brought out by Mr Marshall* on the Lady McNaughton ship which sailed from Plymouth, dep 30.08.1840 arrived 16.12.1840

* Mr Marshall was from the Australian Pastoral Company which brought out young Irish labourers who were not of farming backgrounds - it had been found that European farming methods did not work in Australia and by bringing out non-farming men they were better able to instruct them.
