Stephanie Mendel's new book

My sister, your cousin, Stephanie Mendel, has just published her second highly praised book of poetry.- BARE BRANCHES. This book gives words in concrete images about how Stephie interprets what she feels as she lives her life. The book includes two poems about spasmodic dysphonia, a neurological voice disorder which Stephie has. To help people who also have SD, she serves on the NSDA Board and is the leader for the San Francisco/ North Bay SD Support Group.
All proceeds from the book, which costs $18, support the National Spasmodic Dysphonia Association, which funds research for the cure of this neurological voice disorder that significantly affects the quality of life of those who have it. NSDA also offers support groups throughout the country and helps to spread awareness about SD.
