    thank you ann marie for this ... i have been researching my great uncles death on the first day of the battle of the somme...he was mitchell / michael cairns ,same name as myself and was in the royal enniskilling fusiliers . he has no known grave . he is named on the thiepval memorial and a headstone to his memory is here in eglinton co. l.derry , where i now live.
