בנו בכורו של רבנו שבתי כ"ץ היה הרב הג"מ משה. הוא הביא תחת מכבש הדפוס בעיר פפד״א שנת תל"ז שני ספרי אביו שנפלו לו מורשה והוא צוהו להדפיסם.

הר' משה עלה למרום בדמי ימיו. ערך שנת תמ״ו ימיו. ולפני מותו קרא לבנו ליצחק ויצוהו ויאמר: "הזהרו בדברי סופרים מאבי, יהי בידכם שמורים. להוציא לאור ולזכות את הרבים." ויאסף אל עמיו. ואשתו נשאה לא־ש את ההנימ משה האב"ד

The eldest son of Rabbi Katz was Rabbi Shabtai JM Moses. He brought under the printing press in the city Paped"a of Atl"aza two books of his fallen father authorized and commanded him printed.
