"born about 1678, daughter of Thomas and Jane Curtis of Bugbrook, Northamptonshire, and of Springfield Township, Burlington County, New Jersey.

"John Paine, Junr., and Abigail Curtis solemnized their marriage at ye house of George WIllhouse in Burlington ye 8th of August 1699, before Thomas Revell, John Jewell, and Anthony Eltooon, and many other withnesses."

John Paine was deceased within five years, but his estate is not found in Burlington County probate records.. Hence, "Burlington.

Philip Edington and Abigail Pain married December 18th 1704 [Register of St. Mary's Church, Burlington, N.J.]

The inventory of the personel estate of Philip Edington of Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, dated 20 April 1727, was sworn to by Abigail Edington, administratrix of the will, and she gave bond of performance dated 1 May 1727."

1727, May 1. Abigail Eddington , of Amwell, Hunterdon County , widow, was granted administration on the estate of Philip Eddington , late of the same place, deceased, with Jonathan David and John Burroughs on the bond. . 1727, Mch. 28. Robert Wall , in his will proved May, 1729, mentioned his brother, Thomas Wall , and his friend, Abigail Edington his executrix, and papers show that he was indebted to Philip Edington and his wife."
