NOTE: Although William Smith Ellis states that Abraham Howard snr. was "Bur. at Eton Sept. 9, 1743" (Source: Miscellanea Genealogica et Heraldica, new series, vol. IV, 1884) this would appear to be an error as Abraham's Will was proved in 1779; the Will of his wife, Mary Aldridge, made in 1770 and proved in 1778, also shows that he was alive at that point.
