About Abraham Oakey

Abraham Oakey served as the Deputy State Treasurer for New York State for more than 25 years. Abraham was a scholar of the Bible, studying it in both Greek and Hebrew. He also had a large, valuable collection of Bibles in those languages and a trunk full of documents and manuscripts related to the Bible. Abraham also worked at and attended Queens College, now Rutgers University.
