Apparently, Adrian Vincent sailed back and forth between Europe and New Amsterdam three times before settling in 1662.

1. ADRIAN VINCENT. Adriaen Vincent (1) or Vinchent wa a passenger on the ship "Mary and John" from London, England in 1634. (Reformed Lutheran Dictionary of New England) Adriaen Vincian arrived i New Amsterdam on the ship "Draetvat" 2 June 1657 (Reformed Baird History of Huguenots, Vol I) Adriaen Vincian,a farmer from Tournai on the River Scheldt, Province of Hainault, Belgium with his wife (2) and children age 16, 12 and 5 arrived on the ship "Hope" 8 April 1662.
On a map of Amserdam in New Netherland 1653-1664 (which is now New York City) the name Adrian Vincent appears between Jacobus Becker and Thos. Davidson. They are on east side of Heer Graft and south of DePrince Straat and north of Slyck Steepe. This area is south of De Wal Straat. In 1674, he owned $1500 worth of property on the east side of present Broad Street, New York City, near South William Street.
