Notes for Agnes ALGER:
Agnes received a farm called Brazen Head, in NW Lindsell. She and Thomas lived there. This house had a famous doorknob, after which the manor was named. Some genealogists have wrongly called this farm Castle Brazenhead. the knob, cast in bronze, dates to the 1200's or 1300's. It remained on the door until 1980, and in 1990 was donated to the British Museum.
Her name was also spelled ALGORE. (SOURCE: "The Fitch Family").
