Alanson Hovey Baldwin, son of Guy Carlton Baldwin and Olive Delano, was born Dec, 31, 1819 in Ticonderoga, New York; married with MELISSA PRIOR, of Ticonderoga. In 1850 they resided in Ticonderoga; by 1853 they had removed to Canada and in 1871 they were in Ottawa, Canada. He died Apr. 17, 1895 in Ottawa, Canada.

Children were: Catharine (1845), William Henry (7/29/1846), Harma (1848), and Pyra E. (1851).

He had large sawmills, known as the Chaudiere Sawmills, at Ottawa.
