"Alexander Seton of Kilcreuch - was admitted an Ordinary Lord on the 14th February 1626. He was knighted by Charles I. at Holyrood on the 12th July 1633, and resigned his seat on the 6th June 1637, on account of the infirmitie of his sight and other weaknesses ensuing upon his great age, being succeeded by Adam Cunningham, Lord Woodhall."
