Alfred Allen Bishop, son of Alfred A. Bishop and Miss Greenstreet married Delilah Morgan Norris on June 14, 1827, in Carter County, Tennessee. There are researchers who believe her father is John Morgan.

One of the group, Rev. Jonathan Burleson and future father in law to one of Alfred's daughters was a Cumberland Presbyterian minister.
