Mr. Alfred John Carver [1], 28, an unmarried seaman from 156 Dukes Road, St. Denys, Southampton, boarded the Titanic at Southampton as third class passenger (joint ticket number 370160, complemetary). Carver was an employee of the American Line together with his companions Alfred Johnson, William Henry Turnquist, William Cahoon Johnson jr., Lionel Leonard and Thomas Storey.

Carver lost his life in the disaster. His body, if recovered, was never identified.

His mother Frances Carver received a weekly allowance from the Titanic Relief Fund of 5s 6d.
