"An Epic of the Gestapo" by Sir Paul Dukes written in 1940 tells of the investigation of the imprisonment and murder of Alfred Low-Beer by the Nazis as he tried to join his family in Switzerland. Sir Paul Dukes, a spy, was hired by the family to investigate Alfred's disappearance.

Had the Small Villa Low Beer built in 1906 in Svitavka designed by the Viennes architect Josef Nebehosteny.
According to Martin Čakrt this Alfred was married to Marianne and not to Paula, who was married to adifferent person with the same name (Geni does not allow to disconnect them).
