Alice le Boteler b. 1398
This is not the Alice that married John Gerard who was born earlier and who's parents were: John Boleter and Alice Plumpton. That Alice would have been too old to bare a child born in 1440.
Thomas Leigh died in 1438/9 around the time this Alice would have married Thomas Alabaster and then has a son.
One source (Denise Plath-Slattery, World Connect), has the Alice who m. Thomas Leigh as a daughter of Thomas Boteler (and Alice Beauchamp). The dates support that pedigree.
