Note: Alice Ray Parker Lamon, 82, of Rogersville, Ala., died Aug. 19, 2003, at her residence. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at Roselawn Funeral Home, Decatur, Ala. The funeral will be Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home chapel, with burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Neal Culberson. She was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Morgan County, Ala., to James Oscar and Winnie Napps Parker (deceased). Mrs. Lamon was instrumental in research and writing of history on Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a member and regularly attended for many years. She is survived by her husband, Fred Pellom Lamon, Rogersville, Ala.; two daughters, Brenda J. Lash, Rogersville, Ala., Elizabeth L. Drain, Macon, Ga.; two grandsons, Kevin Glenn and Carrie Lash, Lebanon, Tenn., Robbie Pellom and Angela Lash, Kennesaw, Ga.; granddaughter, Delinda Drain and Gary Wilson, Decatur, Ala.; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will include Willard Burt, Ronald Puckett, George Nancarrow, Michael Henry, Patrick Henry and George Simpson Parker Jr.
