Alma E. Swaner, 63, veteran salesman and lifelong resident of Salt Lake City, died Friday at his home, 1385 Jefferson street, after a short illness. He was born in Salt Lake City, a son of August and Eliza Swaner.
Surviving are his widow, Maggie Swaner; the following sons and daughters: Blair Douglas Swaner, Mrs. Vera Smith, June L. Swaner, Dorothy Rae Swaner and Audrey D. Swaner, all of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Joseph James, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Cyril Gravill and Mrs. Eliza Pope, Draper; George R. Swaner and John Swaner, Ogden.
Funeral services for Alma E. Swaner will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the drawing room of the Joseph William Taylor mortuary, 125 North Main Street. Bishop Harold Stewart will officiate. Friends may call at the mortuary Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the residence, 1385 Jefferson street, Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment in City cemetery.
