Alonso de las Casas Fernandez, mayor of the villague of Priego in 1409. He married Leonor Fernandez Marmolejo (daughter of Diego Hurtado de Mendoza and Leonor Fernandez Marmolejo). They had four sons and a daughter:

  • (1) Francisco who was the father of Bartolome de las Casas-the illustrious bishop of Chiapas at the time of the Conquest of Mexico;
  • (2) Pedro, lord of La Palma;
  • (3) Juan, lord of Guevar;
  • Isabel who was the matriarc of the counts of Ureña and dukes of Osuna;
  • (4) Guillen de las Casas Hurtado married Leonor Gonzalez de Guzman
