Alvin married Pearlie Mae Wilson the daughter of George W Wilson and Cora Roy. They had eight chidren and when Alvin and Pearlie passed away due to (heart issues) the younger children went to a foster home to live,one boy Noble went to live with a wealthy Uncle ,Arlie was on his own but the oldest had already left home at the time ,he was in the US Navy. Alvin was the son of Hannibal Gosser and Doretta Weddle. They lived in Russell County. Alvin played the banjo,Pearlie played piano and guitar, her favorite church hymn was "When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder" which was sung at her oldest son Otis Rollin's funeral.Alvin was a father who disciplined and was known to get a belt or switch and tear any child who needed it up.
